Some American/Slovakian history trivia?

Everyone knows this famous picture of a group of men eating lunch over Manhattan. I recently read an article in a Slovak news paper that claimed that the worker on the far right is a man from Eastern Slovakia named Gusti Popovič. Truth or urban legend? Probably we will never know.
